Caroline Garcia has welcomed the move of the WTA to return to China calling the stretch and important one for tennis players when asked about it by BBC Sport.
Garcia is in Coventry where she's leading the French team against the British team in the Billie Jean King Cup and she was asked by local media about the WTA's move to return events to China. Garcia is in favour of that because she likes the events and has won trophies over there in the past.
She said:
“The ATP and the ITF was already going back, and women’s tennis is following. In
the past we have had some huge tournaments over there and I think it is
an important swing for us in our calendar and I’m looking forward to
it.”
She did not mention
Peng Shuai.
