Kristina Mladenovic and Timea Babos won Women’s doubles Australian Open 2020 after easing past Hsieh Su-Wei and Barbora Strycova with two sets. And the duo have credited their triumph to their incredible teamwork.
Babos said it's amazing the way her and Mladenovic are working together. And that their excellent teamwork and team spirit allow them to cruise past the determined duo of Su-Wei and Strycova.
"They tried technically everything...They stepped up their game I think compared to the last match. I really think it was a lot tougher one. I think it's just amazing the way we're working together and how we handled the situations together," Babos said.
"Also, I think the way we match together, it's really tough to beat. Not only the connection we have tennis-wise, because I think our game really fit well, the emotional connection wouldn't be enough."
Mladenovic echoed her partner's opinion and said working with Babos is easy because they are best friends.
"It makes it just so much easier to have your best friend by your side because you can fulfill those long days of work [with] a best friend or family around, I'm very grateful," Mladenovic said
