"It's simply disgusting to read such things": Diana Shnaider hits out at notion parents are taking her money

Diana Shnaider is through to the Last 16 of the Rome Open after taking down Jaqueline Cristian on Saturday but this week it is without Dinara Safina by her side who according to the rising Russian left off her own accord. She also hit out at the notion her parents are stealing her money and brought about the split.
Shnaider called the rumours 'disgusting' and said that the decision to leave was solely on Safina's shoulders. The former World No.1 has performed superbly despite this recent split.
Her father took a coaching role when she last split from a coach but it saw a downturn in form which has now risen again since sh had Safina employed.
"In fact it all happened spontaneously," said Shnaider translated as per Championat. "Right after the match against Swiatek, Dinara told me she would not go to Rome with me, it was solely her decision not to accompany me here."
"And then when I texted her this week about the terms of our work going forward, she replied that she was not interested in further collaboration for now. That is, our split was not my initiative and even less so my parents. Everyone speculates that they are taking all my money, it is simply disgusting to read those things. It's very painful that people would think that way about my parents."
"I have a wonderful relationship with them, I wish with all my heart that everyone would have the same relationship with their parents as I do. It's sad to read those things because actually my parents are my true support. Anyway what can you do? It happened, such are the circumstances. This is solely Dinara's decision, I respect it and can only accept it. I will be preparing for next tournaments and looking for new coaching options."
