Daria Kasatkina has had some very good showing in the past year and more but the Russian decided to split with her long-time coach recently.
Kasatkina has been working with Carlos Martinez for the past four years but the 25-year-old has now elected to part ways with her coach. Under Martinez, Kasatkina played in the Roland Garros semi-final last year. She also booked a spot at the WTA finals where she played some smashing tennis as well.
The start of this year hasn't been that good for her as she generally didn't play well. Whether the split has something to do with it remains to be seen but there is a good chance that it does.
