French tennis player and former doubles world number one Kristina Mladenovic was issued a huge fine by Wimbledon for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Mladenovic who lost her first-round match in straight sets was issued the largest fine this year at Wimbledon for what the organisers named unsportsmanlike conduct. The fine is 7,500 $ and things leading up to it happened off court. Reports from the United Kingdom say the incident happened after she and Timea Babos lost their 1st round doubles match.
Mladenovic was looking to arrange private transport back to the bubble hotel but was denied the chance to do so by the transport desk explaining she would need to use the shuttle bus. A family member of Mladenovic then launched a tired on staff members who were shocked and called security.
In the end the situation calmed down after security intervened. The fine is the largest issued at this year's Wimbledon out of 9 issued. Nick Kyrgios got fined on two separate matters yet his fines are still less that of Mladenovic.
