Made 8 figures from his tennis career. Pretty successful in my opinion. Slam semi final, double digit titles. Just bad perspective from you, in my opinion.
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has hit out at commentator Myles David for calling Gael Monfils’ tennis career ‘not successful’.
The French tennis star is slowly but surely moving towards the end of his career after playing at the highest level for more than a year.

David, in a post on social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — while sharing a video called Monfils’ career ‘not successful’. “This kind of point sums up Gael Monfils’ tennis career. Spectacular but not successful. In my opinion,” he wrote.
Kyrgios, who is currently spending time on the sidelines as he continues to recover from a lengthy injury layoff, responded to that by stating: "Made eight figures from his tennis career. Pretty successful in my opinion. Slam semi final, double digit titles. Just bad perspective from you, in my opinion.”
Monfils did not start the new season brightly as he lost in the opening round of the ASB Classic in Auckland to Fabian Marozsan with a score of 6-4, 6-7, 7-6. The Paris-born did not have a great time on the court in the 2023 season as well where he managed to play in the main round of two out of the four Grand Slams but on both occasions, his journey ended in the second round.
