Madrid Open Tennis Channel coverage slammed by prominent journalist after Osaka-Svitolina fiasco weeks prior

The prominent tennis journalist Ben Rothenberg
criticizes Tennis Channel for the delay in coverage of the match between
Francisco Cerundolo (No. 22) and Tommy Paul (No. 16) at the Madrid Open. Rothenberg had
previously criticized the coverage of the match between Naomi Osaka and Elina
Svitolina at the Miami Open.
The journalist logged into Tennis Channel to follow
the duel between the American and the Argentine but noticed a delay, as the
match was 3-2 in favor of Paul, but the official stream still showed 0-0.
"Currently 5 games behind... Paul vs.
Cerundolo is at 3-2 and it's still 0-0 on the stream. I just canceled my upcoming
renewal @TennisChannel," some fan wrote
This is not the first time that someone has
reported this situation, as during the second round of the Miami Open, in Naomi
Osaka's victory over Elina Svitolina (6-2, 7-6), the official broadcast also
had a similar delay to what happened in Madrid.
