Matteo Berrettini successfully defended his Queen's Club trophy from last year by defeating
Filip Krajinovic 7-5 6-4 in the final.
What more needs to be said about Matteo Berrettini on grass. The Italian destroyed opposition last year at the Cinch championships and he did it this year as well. He's 9-0 this year on the grass with back-to-back titles in Stuttgart and Queen's. He's 20-1 overall on grass when you combine this year and last year losing only to Djokovic in the final of Wimbledon.
Krajinovic never stood a chance in this one especially after he lost all finals he played in his career. He played well for the most part and battled hard from the start. Berrettini had plenty of break points early and even after Krajinovic dropped his serve he took back right away.
Still, with all that good play the forehand and the serve was simply too much to overcome for the Serbian. Berrettini was able to wear out the Seribna towards the end of the set and take it 7-5. From there it was still a competitive match but Berrettini was better. He took an early break and from there he was able to serve out the match 6-4.
