The draw has been confirmed for the 2023 Prudential Hong Kong Open which will take place between October 9-15 as the WTA season heads towards its conclusion.
In the top half of the draw, Victoria Azarenka who is top seed faces off against Leylah Fernandez. While the winner will take on a must-see match between Mirra Andreeva and Dayana Yastremska. Bad blood off the court is well known, with Yastremska reporting and failing to get Andreeva sanctioned for liking posts poking fun at Ukraine on Instagram.
Others involved include 22-year-old rising star, Peyton Stearns who faces Linda Fruhvirtova. Beatriz Haddad Maia will take on Aliaksandra Sasnovich with the winner facing Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Elise Mertens is third seed.
This is a stacked draw considering most of the bigger names will play in Zhengzhou this week and Jessica Pegula is set for Seoul.
