Mladenovic, Putintseva and Brady successful in first qualifying round in Brisbane

2020 Season started also for women when they flew to Australia and New Zealand, in Brisbane's first round of qualifying brought a lot of action.
Yulia Putintseva, Kristina Mladenovic and Viktoria Kudermetova are the top seeds in qualifying and they were all successful. Putintseva and Kudermetova needed only two sets, but Mladenovic played a 3-set match against Perez, who also joined the ace pledge to help bushfire relief in Australia.
Samsonova and Mcphee showed the longest match of the first round of qualifying when they fought for the place in the second round for 3 hours and 13 minutes. The Russian came as the winner of the match when she won 7-6, 6-7 and 6-4.
Schmiedlova performed a perfect turn of the match when she lost the first set 0-6 but managed to outplay Tomova in second and third to secure the spot in the second round. Players in qualifying need 2 more victories to join the packed field in the Brisbane's main draw.

- He's a Cool Dude (and very funny guy). Always fun to be in the presence of Tomasz. Something he mentioned here is what many who have coached at any level can relate to -- "the crazy parents committee". It relates to my coaching experiences in kid's sports. My #1 complaint about coaching kids is Problem Parents!! It can be a very abusive, even violent situation with many parents when it comes to their kid's sports. In the end, it was no longer worth the potential (all too common) altercations for me and I quit.
