Mystery of who Zheng Qinwen wants to be friends with seemingly solved as two familiar faces referenced in video

The tennis detectives have been out again deciphering the mystery that is who Zheng Qinwen wants to be friends with if she has the opportunity to reach out.

Those two players who were referenced are seemingly Elena Rybakina and Emma Raducanu. A user on X recalled a previous video of her being asked who she'd like to play poker with and she said the pair of Grand Slam champions.

So it would be two prominent names in the tennis sphere in that case. The user ended their tweet by saying: "It's obviously them".

"Actually, there are two people in the tennis community whom I really want to befriend. But I haven’t taken that step yet. I’ll talk about it once I do," said Zheng Qinwen in that interview.

Another remarked that she wants to rub in the fact that she took Raducanu's Dior contract off her jokingly. The Olympic gold medalist has become a bit of a commercial phenom in the past year and is now one of the top paid female athletes in the world including endorsements. This has included a new role with Dior which has seen Raducanu likely axed in recent months.

This in itself was a bit of a u-turn with the Chinese ace previously sharing her decision to almost be a lone wolf and has previously had issues with Emma Navarro for instance.

Also while she stood out in terms of her outfit at the WTA Finals, she was more interested in Riyadh by her own admission at standing out on court than making friends at the parties. But it seems like those familiar faces may get a call at some point from her.
