Navratilova continues to slam transgender athletes in sport after cyclist Austin Kilips' cycling race win

Former player Martina Navratilova has slammed transgender athletes in sport once more after a transgender cyclist won the women's race easily in front of the opposition.

Navratilova has been a vocal opponent of allowing transgender athletes to compete in regular categories because she felt it was an unfair competitive advantage. Navratilova argues that most trans women have a biological competitive advantage having been born as men and in most cases have gone through puberty as a man.

It's a rather scientific approach to the matter by Navratilova who argued that these athletes are in most cases both bigger and stronger than cis women which gives them an unfair competitive advantage in the competition. She voiced her displeasure about a recent cycling race by tweeting:

“Transgender cyclist Austin Killips wins women’s race, causes outrage- this will happen more and more- women’s sports is NOT THE PLACE for trans identified male athletes."

Navratilova is not the only person who has argued against this as several formper athletes have spoken out against it as well.
