Next stop for Andreescu confirmed, awarded wildcard for Thailand Open Hua Hin

Bianca Andreescu will continue her 2023 campaign with a stop in Thailand as she's set to play in Hua Hin after being awarded a wild card entry into the event.
Andreescu had a solid start in Australia but failed to make too much noise. It was good in the sense that she played a few matches and showed promise but she was unable to go on a deep run. The next chance for that will come at the Thailand Open in Hua Hin as she was awarded a wild card entry into the event.
The news was announced by the tournament with a statemenet that said:
"Super-excited to announce that 2019 US Open Champion
Bianca Andreescu will be joining us in Hua Hin! The Canadian who has
been ranked as high as No.4 in the world has been awarded a Wild Card
for the 2023 Thailand Open."

- I heartily disagree with Stubbs here. I mean c'mon! The whole idea of giving out wildcards is to give new & up-coming players a chance at getting as much circuit match-practice under their belts as possible. And this is a HUGE must and opportunity for these new kids on the block. Why curtail opportunities for these newbies in favour of stalwart monopoly?? That just isn't fair. At least give these lesser known players a chance to become more familiar at playing in bigger tournaments & give them also a chance of getting the crowds behind these underdogs.
