"No more having my parents fill out documents and stuff. I'm excited" - Gauff on turning 18 years old

Coco Gauff will celebrate her 18th birthday in Indian Wells on March 13th and the American is excited about it.

Coco Gauff has been in tennis for a while now and it's quite strange to hear that the teenager will only now turn 18 years of age. Yet it is true as it will happen in two days on March 13th. Speaking to WTA Insider, Gauff told that she is excited about filling out her own documents for the first time:

"No more having my parents fill out my documents and stuff, so I'm excited for that. I guess it's been three years since I really started playing on tour and the time has gone by fast. I really can't believe that I'm going to legally be an adult, but my parents won't see me as one."

Asked about her three years on the tour, Gauff said:

"For me, honestly it's not the on-court accomplishments. It's more how I accepted everything and tried to be a role model for kids. I feel like the last three years so much has happened in the world and for me in my career. I think I've done a decent job in handling it all."
