Ons Jabeur chosen to be cover star for Vogue Arabia, sees rising talents in Tunisia flourishing from her rise

Ons Jabeur was chosen as the cover star for Vogue Arabia and in the interview, she noted the rise of tennis in her country which makes her very proud.

Ons Jabeur always had the bigger picture in mind while playing tennis. Winning trophies and becoming a great player was important to her but so was inspiring people from a similar background as hers to take up the sport. She's achieved both in what is the best tennis career of a player of Arabic origin in history.

Due to that, she was chosen as the cover star of Vogue Arabia and in the interview she noted the rise of tennis back home:

"I know that more kids in Tunisia now believe they could have a professional tennis career. Before, there wasn’t a clear picture of what that looks like. Now there is hope in the young generation. Even just seeing that more people in Tunisia are playing tennis for fun – these are great victories."
