Ons Jabeur smashes Belinda Bencic in Charleston final

Ons Jabeur avenged her Charleston Open loss last year to Bencic by beating her in the final of this year's event quite convincingly 7-6(6) 6-4.

These two played in the final last year too but it was Bencic who won that match. It was a really close one that went to three sets with many twists and turns but this one wasn't like that. It was quite a comfortable win for Jabeur though she did start slow. Bencic took a 2-0 lead at the start of the match but gave it back at 5-4 when she served for the set.

Then we saw Jabeur waste a couple of set points at the finish of the first set. Bencic held on and forced a tiebreak. In the tiebreak, Jabeur, in the end, did win the tiebreak 8-6. After that, we saw the second set where she completely outplayed the Swiss player to take the trophy. There were some minor complications at the end of the second set with Jabeur having to save break points in the final game of the match.

She managed to do just that and It was good revenge for her when looking at the event last year.
