The Euro 2020 final saw England face Italy in a conclusion to the tournament which saw people come together after the Coronavirus pandemic has disrupted lives for the past 16 months.
But a bad side was unearthed as the former went onto lose on penalties with three players who missed them in Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka receiving a myriad of racial abuse on social media post match.
This prompted many debates in terms of ID for use of social media as well as familiar figures throwing their support behind the trio.
One of those was Naomi Osaka who has of course been known to campaign about racial inequality in particular and she backed them with a photo of the trio on Twitter with crowns above their heads.
