Naomi Osaka, a former World No. 1 and winner of four Grand Slam titles, currently holds the position of World No. 314 in the WTA rankings, marking her lowest ranking since 2014.
Naomi Osaka is currently pregnant and away from the sport which causes her to drop points pretty much every week. She dropped a great chunk of her points with the previous Miami Open points coming off and that sent her down to her lowest ranking on the WTA Tour since 2014. Last year's Miami Open saw her play in the finals and losing to Iga Swiatek which earned her 650 points.
Those points came off on Monday which caused a significant drop in ranking. Her current ranking outside the top 100 marks the first time she has been in this position since May 2016. Additionally, this is the first time she has been ranked outside the top 200 since November 2015. Her ranking has dropped to below 300, a position she has not held in eight years and eight months, dating back to July 28, 2014.
