Ons Jabeur will aim to seal her maiden Grand Slam title this afternoon at Wimbledon as she faces the Kazakh ace, Elena Rybakina but her parents won't be in attendance to watch her.
But not for the want of trying as they were not given a visa in time by the Home Office to come over and watch their daughter play.
The reason given translated in the replies of the tweet initially by Eric Salliot was that the request was late so not on the six weeks in advance but that they weren't given an exemption despite the circumstances.
Meshkatolzahra Safi who made history as the first Iranian girl to play at the Australian Open Juniors was among as Stuart Fraser from the Times put it one of the 'shocking tales' of the way this process has been dealt with not only in the case of Jabeur's parents as she was not handed a visa in time to play.
