Canadian tennis star
Eugenie Bouchard gave her opinion on the results of a survey that showed most American amateur tennis players believed they could win a game against a professional tennis player.
Retired American pro
Andy Roddick recently brought some attention to the matter in a segment on The Tennis Channel, stating that these amateur players stood no chance of winning even a point against a professional.
Bouchard believes these fans are delusional
The 2014 Wimbledon runner-up shared the segment of Roddick addressing this issue on social media, and chimed in on the matter.
"People are so delusional it’s crazy," Genie Bouchard wrote on the X messaging platform.
Roddick seemed to end the debate by stating he himself could not currently win a game off Novak Djokovic, and most fans wouldn't be able to either.
