3x WTA champion Polona Hercog is training to return to tennis as the Slovenian player hasn't been in action since May of last year.
The last time she was on a court was last May when she retired from the match due to a knee injury. She hasn't been in action since but the 32-year-old is set to attempt a comeback this year with preparations underway for it. Speaking to Sport Klub Slovenia, Hercog confirmed she is working towards a comeback:
"I'm training, you can expect me back on the WTA tour this year, but for now it's too early to talk about the exact timeline. I am currently working on certain matters, so unfortunately I can't tell you anything more. I'll put it this way, the goal is to return in May or June.
