The main draw is led by Elise Mertens (No. 29), Emma Navarro (No. 31), and the 2019 champion Sofia Kenin (No. 38).
The tournament offers a prize money of $267,082 and a total of 250 points for the champion. Players will have the opportunity to gain valuable match practice in the week leading up to the Aussie Open, enhancing their form for the first Grand Slam of the year. The defending champion, Lauren Davis, will not participate in the tournament due to injury.
