The 2024
Thailand Open will begin a day after the conclusion of the
Australian Open, emanating from Hua Hin Thailand and slated to run from January 29-February 4, 2024.
A
WTA 250 event, the Thailand Open will see 32 players battle it out for the singles crown, whereas 16 teams will compete in the doubles event. Following a stressful two weeks in Melbourne, players will get to enjoy the festivities and activities in the tourist district of Hua Hin while competing for the unique title.
Former World No.2
Paula Badosa will hope to resume her journey on the WTA tour in Hua Hin, after taking some time off in 2023. The Spaniard will be joined by defending champion Lin Zhu, as well as former champion
Magda Linette. Based on the strong field, the tournament will see a light increase in
prize money from the 2023 edition, offering a total of $267,082. The winner will be awarded $35,250, in addition to 250 WTA ranking points, as described below.
