Race to WTA Finals Update: Kontaveit and Sakkari rise after St Petersburg

While early on, the Race to WTA Finals standings have been updated with runs for Anett Kontaveit and Maria Sakkari gleaming rises into the top 10.

Kontaveit is up 13 places to sixth as a result of winning in St Petersburg with Sakkari up eight places to 8th.

Also from that tournament, Jelena Ostapenko who is on the verge of returning to the top 20 in the regular rankings is 19th in the race. While Irina-Camelia Begu is 20th and went up 29 places this past week.

Ashleigh Barty and Danielle Collins though remain unchanged at the top ahead of Madison Keys, Iga Swiatek and Barbora Krejcikova.
