Britain’s young tennis star
Emma Raducanu revealed that she
is now trying her luck in hand painting.
The 21-year-old has missed three Grand Slams this year, including
the upcoming
US Open, because of consistent struggles with injuries.
The fourth and final Grand Slam of the year is set to begin
on Monday where players from all over the world will participate to showcase
their talent.
Raducanu posted a picture on her official Instagram account
trying hand paintings with a caption ‘Don’t try this at home’
Raducanu emerged onto the scene two years back when she
lifted the US Open after beating Canada’s Leylah Fernandez in the final with a
score of 6-4, 6-3.
The victory was an even more special one considering that the
Toronto-born started the competition through a qualifying round.
However, since then, Raducanu has not managed to get much
success on the tennis field, largely because of fitness concerns.
This year, the former world number 10 has only participated
in one mega-event—the Australian Open—where she was knocked from the second
round after losing to America’s Coco Gauff in straight sets with a score of
6-3, 7-6.
