Monday has been hit by rain at not only the Prague Open but also the Top Seed Open in Lexington, Kentucky. While only Genie Bouchard got out on court though in Prague, we will have play on the opening day in the latter albeit it later than planned and with some alterations.
Before lockdown, it was
Marie Bouzkova who saw off
Johanna Konta at one of the final tournaments in Monterrey and for the latter; she will aim to gain some revenge when she opens proceedings on Center Court shortly.
The only other action on Center Court today sees
Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed in action aiming to make an impression against Madison Brengle.
Magda Linette, the sixth seed will be demoted to Court Two starting off proceedings there against Lauren Davis.
Heather Watson and
Jennifer Brady in one of the ties of the day begins Court 3 action.
With
Ons Jabeur, the eighth seed looking to build on a great start of the year; when she takes on one half of McCoco (with Coco Gauff),
Caty McNally.
Qualifying's final round including Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Leylah Fernandez and Anna Kalinskaya still in action will be on Lexington's Indoor Courts; which could come in handy this week.
