Earlier this week, Shamil Tarpischev who is the president of the Russian Tennis Federation said not to listen to Elina Svitolina's comments calling her 'absolutely nobody'.
But former World No.1, Andy Roddick has backed the Ukrainian and told Tarpischev on social media to reflect on his own poor tennis career before he calls anyone a 'nobody'.
"Tarpischev career high ranking of 164. Career record of 2-3. No titles (obviously) .. @ElinaSvitolina career record of 433-228. 16 singles titles, career high of 3. I’d ask him to define 'nobody' and then look in the mirror objectively,"
