Aryna Sabalenka had to work really hard to overcome Camila Osorio at the
Madrid Open and she gave a lot of credit to her opponent following their match.
Sabalenka has some really good memories of Madrid having triumphed here a few years ago. It's her only clay title so far in her career and returning to the event is always good. The match today was good as well though she would not have minded an easier win. Speaking after the match, Sabalenka credited her opponent Camila Osorio for a great battle:
“It’s always tough matches against Camila. Even though the last match, the score was easier, it was really tough. Today it was another tough battle & I expected that. It was a really great win & I’m super happy with the tennis today”
The Belarussian will face Russian teen sensation Mirra Andreeva next.
