Four TOP 25 players took part in the first two quarterfinal matches at the 2020 Adelaide International.
In the first matchup, only 19-years-old Dayana Yastremska wanted to follow up on her rise from 2019 season and record the first semifinal of 2020. She faced Donna Vekic who also wanted to get through. However, Yastremska added the 3rd victory to H2H statistics to reach the semifinal in Adelaide. She defeated Vekic 6-4, 6-3 after just 69 minutes.
In the second match, Aryna Sabalenka faced Simona Halep. After a good beginning of the 2020 season, Simona Halep did not manage to add another victory in Australia as she will start focusing on the Australian Open. Aryna Sabalenka defeated world no. 4 6-4, 6-2 in 71 minutes. Yastremska and Sabalenka will meet in the semifinals in Adelaide to fight for the spot in the final.

Something he mentioned here is what many who have coached at any level can relate to -- "the crazy parents committee". It relates to my coaching experiences in kid's sports. My #1 complaint about coaching kids is Problem Parents!! It can be a very abusive, even violent situation with many parents when it comes to their kid's sports. In the end, it was no longer worth the potential (all too common) altercations for me and I quit.
