In the first match, Nao Hibino and Mihaela Buzarnescu met and the Japanese wanted to build on the good form from the quarterfinals, defeating last year's champion Su-Wei Hsieh. But the match started better for Romanian. In the first set, she took her opponent's serve and won it 6-4.
But with the help of home fans in the second and third set, Hibino showed an incredible turn around. In the second set she destroyed her opponent 6-0 and in the third she won 6-3. Hibino will play 2 final matches tomorrow after moving on to the doubles final with Misaki Doi.
It was Doi who played in the second semifinal match against the second seeded Veronika Kudermetova. The Russian was the only seeded player in the semifinals and was therefore a favorite of this match. But Doi didn't give a chance to the opponent when she won 6-4 in the first set and 6-3 in the second. And so spectators in Japan can look forward to all-Japanese final.
