Karolina Pliskova became the first finalist at the Zhengzhou Open after beating Ajla Tomljanovic 6-3 and 6-2 in the semifinals.
Pliskova started the match ideally when she took the opponent's serve already in the first game. Subsequently, she succeeded in the ninth game and won the first set 6-3. In the second set, Pliskova broke the first opponent's serve again and continued in an almost perfect performance.

Karolina Pliskova scored 6 aces, winning 93% of the points after the first serve, and also turning away the only break ball opportunity her opponent got to. Overall, the Czech won up to 71% of the games and did not give her Australian opponent a chance.
Karolina improved her H2H record with Tomljanovic to 4-0 and in the final, the second woman in the
WTA ranking will face the winner of the semi-final match between Martic and Mladenovic.
