Kristina Mladenovic stunned second seeded Kiki Bertens in the quarterfinals, Belinda Bencic remained as the top seed after comfortable win.
The 5th Day in Moscow began with another 3 set victory in Russia for Mladenovic. She defeated Putintseva and Sevastova in the previous rounds and now she coped with Bertens.
In the semifinals she will meet Belinda Bencic. The third seeded player played qualifier Kirsten Flipkens. Bencic had a tough quest in the first set when she won 10-8 in the tie-break. However, in the second set she dominated and won it 6-1 in 30 minutes.
Karolina Muchova is showing solid performances in Moscow when she did not lose a set yet. She defeated Kuznetsova, Vekic and Alexandrova.
In the semifinals Muchova will meet 3rd Russian player at the tournament. Anastasya Pavlyuchenkova defeated her countrywoman Veronika Kudermetova 7-6 and 7-5.
