Ostapenko easily into semis in Luxembourg, Goerges turns the match

Quartefinals at the Luxembourg Open featured 3 quick wins in straight sets and a turn of the match by Goerges.
Elena Rybakina started the day with a comfortable victory over Laura Siegemund. She destroyed her in the first set 6-0 in just 21 minutes. In the semifinals she will meet 2nd seeded Julia Goerges who played the last match of the day.
Goerges lost the first set 1-6 to Monic Puig in just 26 minutes. But later she showed her perfect tennis scoring 9 aces in 2nd and third set to win them 6-2 and 6-3.
Anna Blinkova spent on court only 48 minutes to advance into the semifinals. She coped with the fellow countrywoman Margarita Gasparyan. Blinkova was winning already 6-3, 1-0 and 40-15 when her opponent retired.
The 8th seeded player will meet the finalist from Linz Jelena Ostapenko in the semifinals. After defeating first seeded Elise Mertens, Ostapenko swept Lottner off the court in one hour 6-1 and 6-1.
