Tennis fans have been admiring Marta Kostyuk's incredible speed in her match against Stacey Fung at the Cymbiotika Guadalajara Open AKRON in Mexico.
World No. 33 Kostyuk faced Canada's Fung in her opening round at the WTA 1000 event. The Ukrainian player entered the tournament off the back of disappointment at the US Open earlier this month, having lost to fourth seed Elena Rybakina in the first round.
Kostyuk then went on to compete at the San Diego Open last week where she reached the second round before being ousted by seventh seed Beatriz Haddad Maia. However, her speediness at this tournament could help her achieve a deeper run.

Kostyuk's speedy responses help her win match

26-year-old Fung rose to World No. 226 this year after winning ITF titles at Santo Domingo, Tbilisi, and Wichita. She was making her WTA Tour main-draw debut here and did a good job, ensuring Kostyuk had to run for points.
Against another player, Fung's powerful groundstrokes that sent her opponent running from one line to the other might have helped put the match in her favor but Kostyuk kept up to earn an incredible winner.
Fung was fighting back from a set down and seemed to be in complete control of the point, with it looking like it was only a matter of time before Kostyuk could not reach the ball in time. However, the 21-year-old did not falter and managed to hit a stunning angled backhand pass that left Fung utterly bewildered.
The commentator was equally blown away by the winner, describing it as "Sensational!"
Although Fung managed to hold the game and win the second set to force a decider, Kostyuk came back to win the match 6-3, 2-6, 6-0. She will go on to face sixth seed Jelena Ostapenko on Grandstand Caliente in the Round of 32.
