Serena Williams defeated her older sister Venus Williams in a spectacular second-round match at the Top Seed Open in Lexington.

Serena and Venus were set for the 31st match of the Williams' sister, everybody in the world expected another spectacular battle. And the most successful siblings in the world of tennis didn't disappoint again as only one could reach the quarterfinals at the
Top Seed Open.
Serena had a great start to the match when she already led 2-0 and 40-15 on Venus' serve. However, she didn't manage to break her the second time and lost the following 5 games as her older sister got a 5-2 lead in the first set. Venus didn't lose it then and won the first set 6-3.
In the second set, Serena stepped up her game again. She didn't allow Venus to have a single breakpoint during the set and she converted one of the 5 she had to win the second set 6-3 and force the third decisive set.
When it comes to the third set between Williams' sisters, Serena won 7 while Venus triumphed in 5 matches that reached the last set. This time, it seemed that Serena will improve the statistic again as she led 2-1 in the third set with a break.
However, Venus showed her great experience and fought back to earn a 4-2 lead in the third set. But Serena managed to pull out similar come back like her sister in the first set. She won 4 games in a row to win the match 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, and book her quarterfinal spot at the Top Seed Open.
