Serena Wiliams hires Rennae Stubbs as her coach for 2022 US Open

Serena Williams will be coached by Rennae Stubbs in her final career event - the 2022 US Open.

Williams split earlier this year with longtime coach Patrick Mouratoglou who opted to coach Halep understanding that Williams' career is over. The American legend played at Wimbledon without a coach but opted against that at the US Open.

Another legendary player Stubbs was spotted with Williams during her practice session with Maria Sakkari in Ashe earlier this week and it was later confirmed that the 51-year-old will take on coaching duties for her at this year's event.

Stubbs was spotted offering advice to Williams and sat down with her to talk after the hitting session was over. Stubbs is not new to coaching as she worked with Bouchard, Pliskova, and Stosur earlier.
