Rick Macci reminisced about the time when he used to train Serena Williams during the early hours of the morning.
23-time Grand Slam Champion Serena Williams is one of the most successful tennis players in history. She, along with her sister Venus Williams, was trained by Rick Macci when they moved from Compton, Los Angeles to West Palm Beach, Florida. In 1991, Serena began training with Macci, who is one of the elite coaches in tennis and has worked with renowned players such as Jennifer Capriati, Andy Roddick, and Maria Sharapova.
The seven-time Coach of the Year in the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) recalled on Twitter when he trained the former World No.1 at just 9-years-old.
