Former world number one
Serena Williams documented her
entire pre-Grammys journey featuring daughter Olympia. The 42-year-old is often
regarded as the greatest player in the history of women’s tennis in the singles
category, having won as many as 24 Grand Slam titles.
Serena, in multiple posts on the social media platform
Instagram, documented her pre-Grammys journey. She even went on to write a long
caption, explaining how was the experience for her.
"In 2022, Clive Davis and I were honored together when
we were inducted into the National Portrait Gallery. I said to him, 'You've got
to remember to invite me to your gala.' I'm so thrilled to be back here to
introduce my favorite band.
“To know me is to know my love for them. When
@billiejoearmstrong calls you to present their band, you jump on a plane and do
it. @greenday #grammys.”
Serena ended her career in September 2022 after struggling
with injury concerns towards the end of her time on the court.
Her last major title triumph was in 2017 when she lifted the
Australian Open after beating her sister Venus in the final in straight sets with
a score of 6-4, 64. Serena also won an Olympic gold medal for the USA in the 2012
edition.
