Serena Williams sends Alycia Parks superb gesture after winning maiden WTA title

Serena Williams congratulated young American Alycia Parks on her first WTA title at the Lyon Open last month.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion sent a gift to Parks after her impressive week at the tournament. Williams' jewelry brand, Serena Williams Jewelry, gifted Parks some pieces from their collection, which were shared on the young star's social media. The image shows two bracelets and a gold-plated necklace with the word "winner," along with a message dedicated to Parks.

The American was the surprise at the Lyon Open, where she defeated Petra Martic (fourth seed), Danka Kovinic (seventh seed) and in the final, the top-5 and first seed Caroline Garcia, who also played as a local with the crowd on her side. Since then, the world No. 55 hasn’t been able to repeat a good performance, and after falling in the first round of the BNP Open Paribas Indian Wells, she is getting ready to play the Miami Open.
