Maria Sharapova shared an emotional post on social media remembering former coach Nick Bollettieri who passed away recently.

Bollettieri passed away at age 92 a few days ago and Sharapova paid tribute to her former coach who is one of the most crucial persons in her tennis journey. She spoke often about how much he was important to her and this message she shared certainly proves that.

It was accompanied with a photo of the two. She wrote:

"You turned on the gymnasium lights at 5am with the brightest (&whitest!) smile. You opened the door to your home, the grounds on which you gave us the freedom to pour our hearts and sweat on. The scoreboard never dictated your commitment to show up for us. Boy is that rare!

I am a lucky girl to have shared so many remarkable moments with you. Thank you for everything, Nick!!"
