"She deserves to win" says Andy Murray on Emma Raducanu SPOTY nomination

Emma Raducanu is on the shortlist for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award and Andy Murray believes she deserves to win it.
The Awards will be held tonight and Andy Murray hopes that Raducanu will win the award as he once did. She is on the shortlist of nominees that includes many great candidates but when asked about it Murray was quite open about his belief that she deserved the award. He said:
"She deserves to win, I don’t think anyone would be too surprised if that is the outcome."
Murray backed up his claim by explaining that Raducanu did something that was never done before with a special emphasis on never. For a sport that's been in existence for over a hundred years doing something like that warrants such an award believes Murray. Whether others agree with him and whether Raducanu gets the award will be known after tonight.
