Former World No.39 Jill Craybas had nothing but praise for Ashleigh Barty, stating that the Australian was well-deserving of being the top player in the game.
Barty is a two-time Grand Slam champion and finished World No.1 for the third consecutive year. Furthermore, the 25-year old is known for her cool demeanor on and off the court, an attribute that has garnered her millions of fans around the world.
"Ashleigh Barty is just an all-natural athlete and an amazing person. I think she's definitely a great representation for the women's game," Craybas said during her appearance on the Tennis Talk podcast.
"The way she carries herself on the court, her demeanor, the way she speaks. I think she's just awesome to have at the No. 1 spot."
Craybas also heaped praise on Paula Badosa, as the Spaniard enjoyed a breakthrough season that saw her win her maiden Masters title in Indian Wells, debut at the WTA Finals and break into the Top-10 for the first time in her career.
"I saw Paula Badosa play in Guadalajara and I was so impressed," revealed Craybas. "I heard quite a few coaches on the tour saying she is definitely going to be No. 1 soon. They think she is definitely going to be a contender for No. 1."

"Who do I fancy for Melbourne? I am going to go with Badosa," said Craybas.
