Iga Swiatek lost to Danielle Collins at the Australian Open and remembering that defeat, Swiatek explained what is so tricky about her opponent.
World No. 9 Iga Swiatek believes Danielle Collins had a good game and she will do more big things if she keeps the right attitude and mindset. Collins, 28, destroyed Swiatek 6-4 6-1 to reach the Australian Open, in which she was beaten by Ashleigh Barty. She said:
“With her game, she can play really aggressively. She's also taking a lot of risks. She's really confident, really aggressive. If she's going to keep that good attitude and a good mindset, she can do anything."
The comments were made to Eurosport after the Polish player's match in Dubai. Swiatek is not the only player who admires Collins and everything she has done as compatriot Jessica Pegula also praised Collins for her Australian Open run.
Collins last played in Dubai but retired from her match against Vondrousova due to an injury. Swiatek lost to Jelena Ostapenko in round 2.
