Coco Gauff is ready to take on her first
WTA Finals experience on home soil in Forth Worth where she will enjoy support.
The American will finally get a chance to play at the WTA Finals after playing a majestic season that saw her reach her maiden grand slam final at Roland Garros as well. Her first experience could be a very good one as she's playing on home soil with plenty of crowd support.
Speaking ahead of the event, Gauff admitted she was happy about the US hosting it:
"When they announced the location, I was really happy to see it was in the US. I'm just happy that I can play in another tournament in the U.S. Whenever I can play at home, it helps me more mentally because A. the travel, and B. you know that you're going to have crowd support. What I'm most looking forward to is the crowd support that I hope I'll receive in Texas."
She added:
This is my first time in Fort Worth and I'm super excited. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do, but for sure I'll get some good food over here in Texas. Some nice country food and I got some cowboys boots, you know live my inner country that I have a tiny bit [of] in me,
