Rafael Nadal has had plenty of rest before the Paris Masters which will make him a dangerous opponent as he's seeded second as well.
Nadal has not been in action since the Laver Cup but he arrived in Paris early to soak in the atmosphere and get used to the conditions. He arrived even before Djokovic but the Serbian has done so well at this event, he probably knows it inside out.
Nadal's journey to the final will include some tricky opponents including Tommy Paul and Roberto Bautista Agut in the second round. Neither player is easy to beat and both are playing well at the moment. If he wins he might face Carreno Busta or Shapovalov next.

Once again both are good indoor players and are playing well at the moment. The quarter-final might see him face Stefanos Tsitsipas, a player who has given him problems in the past. If he moves past the Greek, he might face Novak Djokovic in the semi-final.
And if that weren't hard enough, the final could see him play Alcaraz or Medvedev. As you might imagine, both are playing really well at the moment.
