Sooner or later, she's just gonna sort it out": Tursunov believes Raducanu will figure out post US Open issues

The former coach of Emma Raducanu believes that she will figure out her issues although it won't be under him as he moved on to coach Belinda Bencic.

Raducanu hired Tursunov to help her come out of her slump and she had some decent showings under him but ultimately the partnership broke down. Tursunov admitted that he didn't have issues with Raducanu personally but there were too many people interfering which he didn't like so he quit.

Since then he started coaching Belinda Bencic and it's been going really well as she's back in the top 10 of the WTA Rankings. Speaking recently about Raducanu, Tursunov noted that he expects her to figure things out:

"I mean, with me, she was [a hard worker]. Sooner or later, she's just gonna sort it out. She's too smart of a person not to sort out you know. She loves tennis too much not to figure it out."

He added:

"It's just a question of how long it's gonna take her and how difficult the road is going to be," he added" "But, I think she's the person who is willing to go a bumpy road."

Asked how she's like, Tursunov said she's demanding of herself:

"She's super young. But, she's very demanding of herself and she pushes herself a lot. She's super tough on herself but to me, I felt like she's an incredible and intelligent person. When you talk to her, you just forget, she's 19 or 20. And so, in that sense, I really enjoyed every second of it."
