Sorana Cirstea stunned
Caroline Garcia last week in Indian Wells and she did it again in Miami but this time around she only needed two sets to get it done 6-2 6-3.
Cirstea and Garcia played a really competitive 3-setter last week in Indian Wells and the Romanian was able to get the victory. This week we saw the rematch but once again it was Cirstea who proved better taking the match in two sets this time. It wasn't a quick match even though the score looks rather impressive.
It was a match that Sorana controlled really well leaving Garcia very little. The French player is clearly dropping form significantly and it all started with the loss to Vekic in Mexico. After that, she's played rather badly though these wins were more to the credit of Cirstea than Garcia being absolutely dreadful.
The biggest issue for Garcia was her serve as she simply didn't have it today. Only 4 aces with 4 double faults and a percentage of 55 %. She can do much better because this way she left too many doors open for Cirstea and she took it. The Romanian also played the most important rallies better which was another crucial thing.
