Elina Svitolina will be continuing her comeback Tour at the
Birmingham Classic and she'll be joined by
Venus Williams as a wild card recipient at the event.
Svitolina recently won her first trophy as a mother making her way to the Strasbourg final where she outplayed Anna Blinkova in two sets. The Ukrainian tennis player played a really solid week of tennis and that continued at Roland Garros where she'll be looking to continue her good play to book a spot in the second week.
Her comeback Tour will continue on the grass with the Birmingham Classic among those events she will play there. The Ukranian received a wild card entry into the event alongside some other prominent players. One of those players is Venus Williams who hasn't played since the Australian summer earlier this year.
Venus Williams is back on the grass
The American hasn't played since the Australian summer earlier this year but she will make a return to grass. Williams always loved playing on the grass and Wimbledon is one of her favourite events. Fans will be delighted to see her in Birmingham as part of her prep for the 3rd grand slam of the year.
She's been practicing on a tennis court for a few weeks now.
