Unlike her husband Gael Monfils who seems to be struggling to find form and momentum,
Elina Svitolina is slowly gaining form as her return to the ITF and smaller 125k tournaments continues.
After losing in the opening round in two sets to Aliaksandra Sasnovich, Svitolina didn't rest on her laurels ahead of Rome next week.
She took a wildcard into a WTA 125 tournament in Saint-Malo in France in order to get match practice and has won two matches for the first time since her return.
After easing past Despina Papamichail yesterday, it was Ysaline Bonaventure in three sets today for the former World No.3 with a 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 win over the Belgian.
Her opponent is yet to be confirmed but she will play on Friday in the Quarter-Finals.
