Just like the last time they played,
Iga Swiatek proved better than
Sorana Cirstea but this time around the Polish player was much quicker winning 6-2 6-3.
It was more or less what we've come to expect from Swiatek as she overpowered her opponent pretty early on in the match and never let go. There are only a handful of players that could seriously challenge her in a match and Cirstea was not on that level. She did manage to pull back an early break which made it 2-2 from the 0-2 start but then Swiatek went on a 4-0 rune to finish off the first set.
That was more like what fans expected to see and it continued in the second set. Once more a dominant display from the Polish player who comfortably cruised to a 6-3 finish. Just like in the first set though Swiatek dropped her serve which is somewhat unusual. We haven't seen her drop her serve that often but she did twice in this match.
Still the luxury of being the far better player proved a valuble in the end as she moved on after 83 minutes of play.
